Terms and Conditions
Important: Please read our terms and conditions carefully as you are bond by them when you book and travel on any product sold to you by Icon Cruise and Travel.
We act as an agent for the services of suppliers (cruise lines, airlines hotels, tour operator etc.). Therefore, conditions issued by suppliers will apply in addition. It is the passenger’s responsibility to be aware of them for each service booked. If you have difficulty locating or understanding supplier conditions, please contact us for assistance.
You must be 18 years or older to make a booking with Icon Cruise and Travel. We rely on the authority of the person making the booking to act on behalf of all travelers on the booking.
Accuracy
We endeavor to ensure information provided by Icon Cruise and Travel are as accurate as possible. However, you must not rely information provided by Icon Cruise and Travel and we reserve the right to correct inaccuracies should they occur. Information contained on this website is subject to change without notice. We cannot be liable for losses or damages you may incur which may arise from your use of any information provided by Icon Cruise and Travel. Also, we are not responsible for any losses or damages you may suffer from your access to any other information or material via web links from this site, or from any inability to access or use this website or web links.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither Icon Cruise and Travel or its employees or agents accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no direct control, force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control or which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part. Our liability will also be limited to the extent that any relevant international conventions, for example the Montreal Convention in respect of travel by air, the Athens Convention in respect of travel by sea, the Berne Convention in respect of travel by rail and the Paris Convention in respect of the provision of accommodation, limit the amount of compensation which can be claimed for death, injury, or delay to passengers and loss, damage and delay to luggage. Under circumstances where our liability cannot be excluded and where liability may be lawfully limited, such liability is limited to the remedies required of us under applicable law (including the Australian Consumer Law). This liability clause is subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
Jurisdiction
We are an Australian registered company therefore the services we offer and all aspects of these terms and conditions are governed by the applicable laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes that may arise between us will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
Pricing
All pricing are subject to availability at the time of publication and can be withdrawn at any time without notice. Pricing published are based on lead-in inside categories, inclusive of fees and taxes. Pricing published do not include tipping/gratuities unless stated otherwise. Fares are per person based on twin share and are quoted in Australian Dollard unless stated otherwise. Please contact us for single, third and fourth person pricing.
Re-faring
Suppliers may release lower promotional fares not applicable to your booking. We can assist in requesting a lower promotional fare however any fare reduction is at the supplier’s discretion and fees and charges may apply. Please note promotional incentives such onboard credits may also be reduce or removed when re-faring.
Cancellation and Amendment Fees
Charges and fees may be imposed by suppliers of up to 100% for cancellations and amendments. In any instance where any charges and fees incurred by Icon Cruises, you agree to indemnify Icon Cruise and Travel of such charges and fees.
Schedule of Fees
These fees are in addition to any fees charged by the supplier.
Transfer To New Cruise/Fare – $100
Amendment – $75
Name Correction/Change – $25
Document Reissue Fee – $25
Cancellations – All deposits paid are non refundable and non transferable.
Once the final balance due date has been reached, a 10% cancellation of the total cruise fare will apply.*
*Please note this is in addition to the cruise lines cancellation fees as per their terms and conditions.
Essential details needed for booking.
You must provide names, gender and dates of birth as per passport for international travel and photo ID for domestic travel. Failure to provide the correct details will incur amendment fees or necessitate a new booking to be made, resulting in your booking not being confirmed. Please check all details on initial invoice and contact us if corrections or amendments are needed.
Travel Requirements – Passport, Visas and Vaccinations
All travelers are responsible for their own passports, visas and vaccinations. Failing to meet these requirements, local authorities may deny you boarding, prevent you from going ashore, issue a fine or deny the vessel entry into a port. Passports are required and must be valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the date of return travel. In addition, travel on cruises will not revalidate an Australian re-entry visa.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance for any travel products you book with Icon Cruise and Travel to cover unforeseen events and circumstances including loss of deposit cancellation charges, medical costs, repatriation and other expenses that may arise. We highly recommend sufficient cover is obtained for any medical expenses that may be incurred during your travel. Cruise ship medical centres operate outside the scope Australian Medicare, New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) and private health insurance. Consultations, treatments and medications are charged at private rates and must be paid by you and claimed through your travel insurance.
Travel Advice
We recommend that you contact the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade or visit their website at www.smartraveller.gov.au for general travel advice, as well as specific advice (including safety alert levels) relating to the destination you wish to visit. You can also register your travel plans with DFAT, so that you may be more easily contacted in an emergency.
